Alpha

The Alpha Course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith, which has been attended by more than 11 million people world-wide.
The course is on one night a week, over about 10 weeks, and you can expect it to be fun, friendly and relaxed.

STARTING  21 APRIL 2010 - CONTACT US IF YOU ARE WANTING TO DO THIS.

Each evening consists of dessert and coffee, an excellent DVD presentation, then a lively discussion of the topic in smaller groups.
This all happens in a safe way, welcoming people to ask their questions and be respected for thinking things through at their own pace.

Topics include: Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus Die? How can we have Faith? Why and how do I Pray? Why and how should I Read the   Bible? How does God Guide us? Does God Heal Today? How can I Resist Evil? What about the Church?

Previous participants have really enjoyed the friendship, food, respect, laughter and openness -- all enabling them to explore who Jesus really is for them. Some have met Christ for the first time, others have had their faith renewed, all have made great friends and had fun.
Come along, we'd be delighted to meet you!

" The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who aren't churchgoers and each course is open to everyone who would like to attend.

People find out about the Alpha course in a number of ways - a recommendation from a friend, a poster, flyer, newspaper article or advert, or through the website _www.alpha.org.nz _or an internet search.

Guests attend for a wide variety of reasons - some want to investigate whether God exists; others are concerned about what happens after death. Some people have particular questions that they would like to discuss; others want to understand other peoples' beliefs or would like to explore what the purpose of life is. Many guests have never
been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith."

Is there more to life than this?
